From Cheap to Chic
An inner city 60’s, 6-storey hotel that had seen better days. Access into the Check-In, was via a dreary laneway. Street access was a single door beside a convenience store. The new owners wanted to lift it’s profile and transform from a low budget motor inn, into an elegant boutique hotel.
DesignFocus with Peter Rektor at the helm, created an impressive new street front ‘porte-cochere’ entry and foyer. Works were staged to keep the hotel operational throughout the renovation. Peter’s designs for the corridors and rooms, imbued a classic contemporary style. The owner was extremely happy when the project was delivered on time and on budget.
